FOCUS

FOCUS, or Freshman Orientation CommUnity Service, is a community service pre-orientation program that introduces incoming freshmen to a group of their peers and the university while enabling them to serve and explore their new host community. It offers students the opportunity to form relationships with a diverse group of fellow freshmen before school starts.

Participants will work in groups with six to eight other freshmen and two upperclassmen leaders in the Medford/Somerville area. The five-day service trips into the greater Boston area allow students to explore the area surrounding Tufts and are an incredible way to launch your new career as a Jumbo.
